The Young Members Section is run by an Organising Group consisting of Martin Lamaison, Jane Naylor-Leyland and Aafke Oldridge. Deborah Hutchison, the Assistant Secretary, undertakes the administration and James Seedhouse, the Assistant Professional, leads the coaching sessions.
The Young Members Section notice board in the entrance hall of the club is now actively used for announcements and competitions – please watch this space! The programme of events for holidays and half terms will be announced in advance and publicised on the notice board, on this website and by letter or email.
Golf days are run primarily for the younger members, and competitions and matches are organised for members with handicaps. Active participation is encouraged.
Members wanting a game should use the ‘find a game’ notice on the notice board or ask a member of the Organising Group or James Seedhouse to suggest names of other members of comparable age and golfing ability.

Challenge the Organisers in 2010
A sheet has gone up on the YM notice board for YMs to challenge the Organisers to a foursomes match. Win or lose, the best result against us before 30th September 2010 will be the winners.
Eclectic 2009/10
The 2010 Eclectic Competitions have now started and close on 30th September 2010. The blue ring binder now has separate sections for the 18 holes competition (any age) and the first 5 holes competition (maximum age less than 14 on 30 September 2010). Please participate! There will be a prize for the winners of each section.
2010 Young Members’ Fixture List
To help all YMs plan ahead next year, the full 2010 YM programme will be included in the Club Handbook 2010/11, due for release in February 2010. The programme will also be available on the YM notice board and this website.
RESULTS
Christmas Cup - December 2009
On a very cold and damp afternoon on 30th December only one older YM, Hugo Kendall, and one younger YM, Jack Paxman, turned up to play for the Christmas Cup and the junior competitin respectively. So, no competitions took place, but there was plenty of chocolate cake to go round! The quiz competition will be held on another suitable occasion.

To allow speedy communication with YMs, it would be appreciated if each YM would send an email to Deborah in the Secretary's office indicating their contact email address for use in the holidays.
